Overview
StoryForge is a collaborative storytelling service. We collect and use information needed to operate accounts, rooms, stories, messages, media, safety tools, and support. Do not upload secrets, regulated data, or material you cannot safely share with the people authorized for a room.
Information we collect
- Account information: email, handle, avatar, settings, and authentication records.
- StoryForge content: rooms, applications, posts, cards, messages, comments, files, images, audio, flags, and moderation records.
- Support information: contact messages and any optional name or reply email you provide.
- Operational information: request metadata, IP address, browser or device information, security events, and error logs.
How information is used
- Provide authentication, profiles, discovery, collaboration, messaging, media, and account controls.
- Apply room visibility, role, moderation, and safety rules.
- Respond to support requests and investigate reliability, abuse, or security problems.
- Maintain, test, and improve the service.
Visibility
Your email is not displayed publicly. Handles, avatars, approved public room metadata, feature discussions, and content intentionally posted to public surfaces may be visible to signed-out visitors. Private room content, applications, direct messages, reports, account data, and protected media remain subject to their account and role boundaries.
Service providers
StoryForge uses service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, storage, and operational monitoring. They process information as needed to provide those services. StoryForge does not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained while needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to preserve appropriate safety or audit records. Account deletion is available through Settings. Some moderation, security, backup, or audit records may remain for a limited operational period or where reasonably necessary.
Your choices
- Update your handle, avatar, and preferences in Settings.
- Control what you post and which rooms you join.
- Delete your account through Settings when available.
- Use Contact for a privacy or account question.
Beta changes
StoryForge is evolving. Features and data structures may change during beta. Material changes to this policy will be reflected by an updated date and revised text on this page.
